Cover seems pretty good but cannot get the finger scanner to work no matter what I do..any advice appreciated.

Owning my iPhone 14 Pro Max only a short time i unfortunately dropped it and the back glass shattered, i ignored it and over time the glass fell away revealing the underlying electronics of the phone leaving it prone to water damage.
